Continuing visits and studies in contemporary art glass, and yesterday was full of visual and creative images, conversations and ideas. Martin Blank http://martinblankstudios.com/ is an animated and passionate artist who said, in his studio tour “the hard part is sculpting what you see and not what you know.”

The same is true for marketing and creating strategy for clients. You have to take what you see in a client, products and services and take that to market. Not what you know already about the industry or marketing strategy. Obviously what you know serves as a foundation, like an artist, a skill set from which to produce the work (art or strategic marketing). However, it is what you see about the specific business (or object to be sculpted) and how you interpret what you see that makes the difference in creating a spectacular marketing strategy (or work of art).
